MatriMetrics — Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, making a payment, or using MatriMetrics, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are and what MatriMetrics is
MatriMetrics is an online pre-marriage compatibility assessment. You complete a detailed questionnaire about yourself, invite a person you are considering marrying to do the same, and receive reports describing areas of alignment, differences, and topics to discuss. MatriMetrics is a decision-support tool. It is not psychological, medical, legal, or religious advice, does not diagnose any condition, and does not predict whether any marriage will succeed or fail. The assessment produces its results solely from the answers given by you and your potential life partner; those answers are evaluated using an AI-assisted, structured scoring method, and the resulting report is provided for your information and reflection only. Any decision about your relationship or marriage, and how you choose to go forward in life, rests entirely with you and your potential life partner.
2. Scope of service
2.1 MatriMetrics assesses compatibility between one man and one woman who are considering a legal marriage to each other. The pairing feature operates only between accounts registered as male and female respectively. This scope is a deliberate feature of the service.
2.2 The service is not designed for live-in, casual, or other relationship arrangements.
2.3 You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a contract in your country. You are responsible for knowing whether you are legally eligible to marry where you live.
3. Your account
3.1 You must provide accurate information (including your gender, date of birth, and marital status) and keep it up to date. You may hold one account.
3.2 You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
3.3 We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, misrepresent identity or intent, or misuse other people's information. No refund is due in such cases.
4. Fees, plans and payments
4.1 Prices are shown before purchase in your local currency or its equivalent. Pricing may differ by country. Taxes are included or shown as required by law.
4.2 The Full Assessment plan includes your own assessment and report and one potential-life-partner comparison, usable within 6 months of purchase. Additional Potential Life Partner purchases add one comparison each. Within six months of your first submission you may retake once free of charge under the same plan; after six months, or for any further retake, a Renewal purchase is required.
4.3 A person you invite pays nothing and receives their own individual report free. If they wish to invite others, they must purchase their own plan.
4.4 Payments are processed by Cashfree Payments ("Cashfree"). Purchases from India and SAARC countries are charged in Indian Rupees. Purchases from all other countries are charged in United States dollars and paid by card. All purchases are one-time; nothing renews automatically.
4.5 Refunds. You may request a refund within 7 days of purchase provided you have not submitted your assessment. Payments made in Indian Rupees are refunded less a flat processing fee of ₹149; payments made in US dollars are refunded less a flat processing fee of US$5. Both fees are disclosed at checkout. See the Refund Policy. No refund is available after an individual or couple report has been generated, or where an account is terminated for breach. Refunds are returned to the original payment method.
5. Your commitments (Declaration of Honesty)
Before submitting, you must confirm the Declaration of Honesty, which forms part of these Terms. In summary, you confirm that: (a) your answers are true and complete; (b) you have not knowingly withheld essential information; (c) you will treat every person and profile respectfully; (d) you will keep any information you receive about another person confidential and use it only for your own marriage decision; (e) you understand MatriMetrics is a tool, not a guarantee.
6. Reports and what your partner sees
6.1 Your Individual Report is private to you. Some content in it (cautions) is never shown to your partner.
6.2 The Couple Report is identical for both partners and describes each person's positions in general terms. Your individual answers are never shown to your partner, and the service provides no means to request them.
6.3 You — and only you — may choose to send a copy of the Couple Report to up to two parent/guardian email addresses. Parents and guardians cannot request the report through the service. You are responsible for choosing recipients. The other partner is informed that a share has occurred.
6.4 Reports rely on the honesty of both people. We do not verify answers.
7. Acceptable use
You must not: provide false information; use the service for anyone other than yourself; harass, threaten, or discriminate against any person; copy, screenshot, publish, or redistribute another person's information or report beyond what the app permits; attempt to access data of any other user; reverse-engineer the scoring; use automated tools to access the service; or use the service for any unlawful purpose.
8. Intellectual property
The MatriMetrics name, the 360° Compatibility Framework, question bank, scoring, reports, designs, and software are owned by the Company or its licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use your reports for your own purposes. You retain ownership of the information you provide; you grant us a licence to process it to provide the service.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights, including under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and, where applicable, the GDPR. Because the service necessarily processes sensitive information (such as religion and health), you will be asked for explicit consent before starting the assessment.
10. No professional advice; limitation of liability
10.1 Content is provided for information and self-reflection. Marriage decisions are yours alone. Where a report suggests speaking to a qualified professional, please do so.
10.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss, or for any decision you make based on the service, or for information provided by another user. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10.3 Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including mandatory consumer rights in your country.
11. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features. We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified by email or in-app at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance.
12. Termination and data deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion takes effect after a 7-day cooling-off period. Records we must keep by law (for example, invoices) are retained with personal data minimised.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer in the EU/UK/EEA or elsewhere. We encourage you to contact support first; most issues can be resolved quickly.
